Season Scenes

Create a scene for each season, with appropriate objects and weather.

By clicking on the magnifiers you can "zoom" into the season and create a scene by clicking the objects on the side.

Creating a scene as a group activity, at an interactive whiteboard, or with a small group at a computer, is an excellent way of teasing out the differences between the seasons. When do flowers grow? When would you get baby chicks in nests? Why do you think this is?

Encourage pupils to give other ideas of what they would do and wear in different seasons and why.

This activity could stimulate role play or picture making about different times of the year. The scenes can be printed out individually or together as as smaller panels.
